1-Wall Line Dances

Line dances consist of a short sequence of steps that are repeated throughout the song. In this class the steps are choreographed so that there are no turns and dancers remain facing the front wall. The instructor cues the upcoming moves so memorizing the sequence is not required. Dances are danced to contemporary music.
This class is for all ages and abilities.

Ballroom Fitness

This dance fitness class is based on Latin and Ballroom dance steps. A bit like Zumba only with ballroom music and moves.

Basic Social Dance

In this class there is nothing to memorize. Participants focus primarily on the music being played and their connection with their partner. This is dancing reduced to it's simplest form.

Country Dance for Beginners

This class is for those who would like to either get started in country dancing or would like to brush up on their country dance skills.

Country Line Dance Workshops - Beg & Int

These two country line dance workshops are held on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month. Popular social line dances are taught. The first workshop is beginner level and the second class is intermediate level. In both workshops the steps and dance sequence are taught and practiced before dancing to music. Often a dance is done to both a slower and a faster song.

Crane Dance - Gentle Tai Chi

In Crane Dance - Gentle Tai Chi, stationary crane, qigong, and tai chi moves are taught and combined in a continuous fluid sequence telling the story of Young Crane.

Gentle Tai Chi - Qigong

Gentle Tai Chi-Qigong consists of gentle Qigong (Chee gung) stretches and Tai Chi (Tie chee) movements that help improve circulation and release stress. Gentle Tai Chi was developed specifically for seniors and people with Parkinson's but is great for any age. Because the moves are stationary, it is an ideal form of exercise for anyone that has balance issues. Moves can be done sitting if needed.

Gentle Tai Chi Sequences

Gentle Tai Chi Sequences is slightly more rigorous than the Gentle Tai Chi-Qigong class. Individual moves from Easy Tai Chi-Qigong are combined in continuous fluid sequences that are stationary.

Hatha Yoga: Mind-Body Wellness

Each class will typically include centering, pranayama, warm ups, sun salutations, standing postures, balancing, backbends, forward bends, twists, gentle inversions and savasana. Modifications and options are offered to accommodate all levels.

Kids Combo Dance

This class is for dancers ages 4 to 10. The class consists of multiple elements that include barre work, lyrical dance, choreographed sequences, hip hop/jazz, and pom dance. The goal of this class is to establish confidence, learn basic dance vocabulary, strengthen feet and leg muscles, develop balance and body awareness, and learn foundational dance moves while having fun!

SCIENCE: Learning by Doing

In these weekly workshops, the science concept being explored is introduced and demonstrated by the instructor. Students then work in teams of 2 or 3 to explore the concept by following the 3-step Scientific Method of: Hypothesis, Test, Correct.

STEP 1 Social Ballroom: Introductory

These are our “introductory” ballroom classes where timing and basic steps for 2 styles of dance are introduced. They are great for those just getting started in ballroom as well as those who have some ballroom background but would like to learn more about a style.
