Ross Pearce

Instructor: Ballroom, Country

I have worked in industry as an engineer and computer scientist for 40 years. I opened my first business 30 years ago as an engineering consultant. Fifteen years later I opened my second business teaching hands-on technical topics in elementary and junior high schools. Both businesses are still operating and profitable.

About 3 years ago my husband and I started taking ballroom dance lessons. Before long I was hooked and began performing and competing. Finding places to have dance lessons while working with an independent instructor was difficult at times.

To solve this problem, my husband and I decided to support my dance addiction by opening our own dance studio where we can dance whenever we can find the energy. I firmly believe my years of experience working in industry and running my other businesses will provide the background necessary to run the business side of Kaleidoscope successfully. With the help of our Kaleidoscope team of instructors, I am confident our dance programs will be of high quality and successful as well.

Our business model is designed to provide a variety of dance opportunities for students and a high level of dance floor availability for independent instructors.

It is my hope that our dance space will be welcoming to those who like to dance as well those who would like to learn.

Ross's passion for music began as a child, grew through his middle and high school years with musical theater, and eventually led him to the renowned dance program at Brigham Young University in Utah.  It is there that he honed his dancing skills and teaching techniques in such areas as ballet, jazz, modern, and, of course, ballroom.

Ross turned Professional in 2001 and has 1st place wins and top 5 placements in Rhythm, Smooth, and Showdance.

Ross brings his passion for perfection to the classroom as an instructor of Latin, Rhythm, Smooth, and Standard.  Whether you are a social beginner just learning the basics, or a Pro-Am competitor looking to hone your technique and performance skills, Ross's care, quality of instruction and fifteen plus years of experience in the studio and on the competition floor are sure to impress.

Ross is Championship Certified by the United States Terpsichore Association in International Latin, International Standard, American Rhythm, American Smooth, and Theater Arts.

Ross is a great addition to the Kaleidoscope team.
