1-Wall Line Dance
Trudy Sherman Line Dance
Line dances consist of a short sequence of steps that are repeated throughout the song. In this class the steps are choreographed so that there are no turns and dancers remain facing the front wall. Dances are danced to contemporary music. This class is for all ages and abilities.

Ballroom STEP 1: Steps & Timing

STEP 1 classes focus on learning the steps and timing of a dance style without a partner. Dancing without a partner facilitates mastery of the steps, increases balance, and improves posture while building self-confidence. Partners are welcome but will dance on their own.

Ballroom STEP 2: Partner Dancing

STEP 2 classes focus on learning the steps and timing of a dance style with a partner. In addition to learning steps, couples will learn correct frame, lead and follow techniques, and modifications to accommodate physical needs such as height difference and joint limitations.

Ballroom STEP 3: Workshop & Social

STEP 3 workshops focus on learning a sequence of 8-10 steps. Dancing a prescribed sequence improves fluidity in transitions and continuity in dance. Workshops are followed by refreshments and a social.

Country Dance For Beginners

These 2-week series of classes are for those who would like to either get started in country dancing or would like to brush up on their country dance skills.

Country Dance Intermediate

These 2-week series of classes are for those who have mastered the foundations of the dance style and would like to either learn the next level of steps or would like to brush up on their country dance skills. These classes focus on learning short sequences, steps with timing changes, and variations for the basic steps.

Country Line Dance - Beg/Int

This country line dance classes is held on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month. Popular social line dances are taught. Dances range in difficulty from beginner to intermediate level.

Crane Dance - Gentle Tai Chi

In Crane Dance - Gentle Tai Chi, stationary crane, qigong, and tai chi moves are taught and combined in a continuous fluid sequence telling the story of Young Crane.

Gentle Tai Chi - Qigong

Gentle Tai Chi-Qigong consists of gentle Qigong (Chee gung) stretches and Tai Chi (Tie chee) movements that help improve circulation and release stress. It was developed specifically for Parkinson's patients. Balance aids such as the back of a chair or a walker can be used, if needed. Gentle Tai Chi can also be done sitting.

Gentle Tai Chi Sequences

Gentle Tai Chi Sequences is slightly more rigorous than the Gentle Tai Chi-Qigong class. Individual moves from Easy Tai Chi-Qigong are combined in continuous fluid sequences that are stationary.

Kids Intro to Dance

This class is for children ages 4 to 10 that would like to get started in dance. The class consists of multiple elements that include body posture and control, stretching, beginning ballet, dancing to the beat, dancing to the words, memorizing short dance sequences, simple hip hop/jazz moves, and pom dance. The goal of this class is to establish confidence, learn basic dance vocabulary, strengthen feet and leg muscles, develop balance and body awareness, and learn foundational dance moves while having fun!

In these special workshops students construct and take home up to three items that illustrate one or more science concepts.

Kids Science Weekly Hands-On Workshops

In these weekly workshops, the science concept being explored is introduced and demonstrated by the instructor. Students then work in teams of 2 or 3 to explore the concept by following the 3-step Scientific Method of: Hypothesis, Test, Correct.
