1-Wall Line Dances

Trudy Sherman Line Dance

Line dances consist of a short sequence of steps that are repeated throughout the song. In this class the steps are choreographed so that there are no turns and dancers remain facing the front wall. Dances are danced to contemporary music. This class is for all ages and abilities.

Burlesque Basics

Burlesque Basics is a fun, beginner-level introduction to feminine movement. We will bring out your sultry feminine side in a positive, playful atmosphere. No dance experience is necessary. Knee pads and socks are highly recommended for comfort.

Country Line Dance Classes - Beg & Int

Laina Ferris Line Dance

These two country line dance classes are held on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month. Popular social line dances are taught. The first class is beginner level and the second class is intermediate level.

In Crane Dance - Gentle Tai Chi, stationary crane, qigong, and tai chi moves are taught and combined in a continuous fluid sequence telling the story of Young Crane.

Gentle Tai Chi - Qigong

Trudy Sherman Tai Chi

Gentle Tai Chi-Qigong consists of gentle Qigong (Chee gung) stretches and Tai Chi (Tie chee) movements that help improve circulation and release stress. It was developed specifically for Parkinson's patients. Balance aids such as the back of a chair or a walker can be used, if needed. Gentle Tai Chi can also be done sitting.

Gentle Tai Chi Sequences

Gentle Tai Chi Sequences is slightly more rigorous than the Gentle Tai Chi-Qigong class. Individual moves from Easy Tai Chi-Qigong are combined in continuous fluid sequences that are stationary.

Kids Intro to Dance

Trudy Sherman Kids Dance

This class is for children ages 4 to 10 that would like to get started in dance. The class consists of multiple elements that include body posture and control, stretching, beginning ballet, dancing to the beat, dancing to the words, memorizing short dance sequences, simple hip hop/jazz moves, and pom dance. The goal of this class is to establish confidence, learn basic dance vocabulary, strengthen feet and leg muscles, develop balance and body awareness, and learn foundational dance moves while having fun!

Kids Science Hands-On Workshops

In these weekly workshops, the science concept being explored is introduced and demonstrated by the instructor. Students then work in teams of 2 or 3 to explore the concept by following the 3-step Scientific Method of: Hypothesis, Test, Correct.

Social Ballroom STEP 1: Introductory

These are our “introductory” classes that do not require a partner. Timing and basic steps for 1 style of dance is taught. These classes are great for those just getting started in ballroom, those that would like a refresher, as well as those who already dance ballroom and would like to try out a new style.

These are our “foundation” ballroom classes where timing and a variety of basic steps for a style are taught/reviewed. They are great for those just getting started in ballroom as well as those who have a ballroom background but would like a refresher.

Sound Meditation with Qigong

This class focuses on a combination of guided and solo meditation, intertwined with music from singing bowls and other instruments. It incorporate Qigong (chee-gung) by engaging the body in gentle mindful stretches. Beginner friendly. No previous experience necessary!
